Ramsalt Operapub toured Norway and Sweden in September 2025
Ramsalt Operapub is a small-scale opera production where arias and duets from opera and operetta are rewritten into Northern Norwegian and performed in an intimate format that brings the music closer to the audience.
In September 2025, the production toured Narvik, Kabelvåg, Kiruna and Luleå, reaching a total audience of 215 across four stops. The tour brought the same production into very different settings, from Sjømannskirka in Narvik and Arbeidern in Kabelvåg to Aurora Kultur & Kongress in Kiruna and Café Nouveau in Luleå.
The Luleå performance was part of Kulturnatten 2025. It also marked a return visit after the artists had created a warm response during the Arctic Pulse concert at Kulturnatten the year before.
Ramsalt Operapub showed how a small and flexible production can travel across borders and meet audiences in different local contexts. The tour was carried out within Arctic Pulse in collaboration with Musikk i Nordland and Scene Nord, with support from Interreg Aurora, Nordland County Council and Troms County Council.
