In August 2025, Arctic Pulse joined forces with Oulu Music Video Festival and Tromsø International Film Festival for a curated double bill at Valvesali in Oulu. The evening paired a silent film concert by The Gloria with Billy Roisz’s Lunar Dust, presented in a special version with Ilpo Väisänen.
What made the event important was not only the programme itself, but the collaboration behind it. By bringing together festival teams, artists and audiences from Oulu and Tromsø in one shared setting, the event created a concrete meeting point between film, live music and audiovisual art in the North.
The collaboration also pointed forward. After Oulu, the connection continued at TIFF, where OMVF was later presented through a Nordic music video evening in Tromsø. That is exactly the kind of cross-border exchange Arctic Pulse aims to support: shared programming that gives audiences new experiences and helps festivals build lasting relationships across the region.
