Johanna-Adele Jüssi Trio toured Finland with Arctic Pulse

In late February 2026, Arctic Pulse joined Scene Nord and Folkemusikk Nord in bringing Johanna-Adele Jüssi Trio to Finland for a four-stop tour. The route moved through Oulu, Oulainen, Raahe and a final stop at Oulu Library, giving audiences in different settings the chance to experience the trio’s distinctive musical world.

Led by Johanna-Adele Jüssi, the trio performs music from Lynx Valley / Ilveslaakso — a dreamlike place that shapes the group’s contemporary folk expression through storytelling, improvisation and electronics. During the Finland tour, the music reached listeners through a festival setting, a local music-week programme, a jazz club context and a library presentation.

For Arctic Pulse, the tour showed how a smaller Arctic-rooted production can travel across borders and meet new audiences in different cultural environments. It also strengthened connections between the Norwegian project side and Finnish presenters, opening up possibilities for future cooperation and renewed circulation.
