On 6 February 2026, Arctic Pulse took part in a public programme event at Jokkmokk Winter Market in collaboration with Interreg Aurora, highlighting how music can help make endangered Sámi languages more visible in contemporary cultural life.

As part of the programme, Project Manager Daniel Morcillo presented Arctic Pulse and shared examples of how the project has worked with Sámi artists, Sámi-related activities and cross-border collaborations since the start of the project. The presentation also looked at how Sámi languages can be heard and carried forward through concerts, tours and other professional music contexts. Sara-Helén Persson, who performs jojk in Ume Sámi, contributed to the event with a fantastic live artistic presentation.

The event created a public space for dialogue around language, music and cultural visibility during one of the most important Sámi meeting places in the region. For Arctic Pulse, this was a meaningful way to show how artistic practice can help strengthen the presence of Sámi languages in public and professional settings, while also connecting the project to wider cross-border conversations about language revitalisation and cultural cooperation.
