Arctic Pulses brought two floors of electronic music to Kulturens Hus
On 30 May 2026, Arctic Pulses closed Arctic Electronic Music Meetup – AEM 2026 by turning Kulturens Hus in Luleå into a two-floor electronic club night.
Ten acts from Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark filled five hours with sounds ranging from deep house, UK garage and drum and bass to EBM, techno, minimal, progressive house and trance.
Around 300 people came to dance, listen and move between the two floors.
Two floors, different sounds
The two rooms offered different musical directions throughout the night.
The Lounge Stage moved between deep house, bass-driven club music, techno, minimal, progressive house and trance. The line-up featured Jätten, X-TRACT present, Otto August & Leifdroid.
In Black Box, the sound became darker and more intense, with UK garage, drum and bass, EBM, techno and genre-fluid club music from TUULIP, Somepoe, Charlotte Bendiks, Elith and xivana.
Together, the two floors reflected the range of electronic music represented during AEM and brought artists connected to different local scenes into the same building.
Electronic music in a new setting
A two-floor electronic club night at Kulturens Hus was an unusual format for Luleå.
Bringing Arctic Pulses into one of the city’s main cultural venues gave the artists a strong platform and opened the wider AEM programme to a local audience.
The turnout showed clear interest in electronic music and suggested that there is room for more events of this kind in Luleå and Norrbotten.
From the meetup to the dance floor
During AEM, artists, producers, organisers, labels and festivals met to discuss how electronic music scenes across northern Sweden, Norway and Finland could become more connected and visible.
Arctic Pulses brought those ideas to the public.
The night showed how cross-border collaboration can be experienced not only through meetings and conversations, but through artists sharing stages, audiences discovering new sounds and people coming together on the dance floor.
Arctic Pulses gave a glimpse of what a more visible and connected electronic music scene in the North could look like.
The night left a clear feeling: this should not be the last time.
Arctic Pulses was organised by Arctic Pulse and Norrbottensmusiken together with Kulturföreningen Kluster, in collaboration with Joncell Productions & City Of Oulu.
